Dr. Ryan Heady

Title: Optometrist

Dr. Ryan Heady is a board-certified optometrist dedicated to providing comprehensive, medical-focused eye care in Springfield, Missouri. At Heady & Pham Advanced Eyecare, he provides personalized care for patients of all ages, with a focus on comprehensive eye exams, glaucoma management, dry eye treatment, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), and diabetic eye disease. 

He brings a diverse field of expertise in medical eye care while working with complex eye problems. He has worked closely with multiples of glaucoma specialists, retina surgeons, and cornea specialists over the last sixteen years. He is Residency trained in Ocular Disease at OMNI Eye Services of New York/New Jersey. Prior to opening private practice, he was part of Mercy Eye Specialists as part of the referral center care team including glaucoma peri-surgical care. At Cataract and Laser Institute he founded the Center for Dry Eyes. He also started the current scleral lens service line at CLI working closely with Price Vision group in Indianapolis for irregular corneas.  

Dr.Heady cares deeply about your best vision and eye health. He has a passion for dry eye treatment, thinking outside the box of typical treatments and treating the root causes. Dr.Heady has been an active part of the prior glaucoma management team at Mercy and is honored to continue taking exceptional care of patients with any stage of glaucoma.  

Dr.Heady has enjoyed living in Southwest Missouri as a graduate of Southwest Missouri State University, prior to his Doctorate in Optometry from Illinois College of Optometry. Later returning after residency to join the Department of Veterans Affairs in Branson.  

Outside of work Dr.Heady’s hobbies include time with his family outdoors hiking and camping. He likes to keep physically active and is involved in local special needs communities.
